Culture As A Dare is an autonomous group, self funded and driven to provide interesting / alternative music far from the mainstream. Booking live shows in Southend since 2008, in lockdown they began streaming curated playlists of artist's videos - and have continued to do so. CAAD invited me to put together a playlist for their July edition.

Graham Dunning invited some of his favourite artists who have submitted live documentation, video works and performances-to-tape. There is mechanical music, lots of turntables, improvisation, live coding, modular video synthesis, drum machines, costumes, masks, bird song, bees' wax disks and dogs joining in. Graham will be online for the playlist premiere so you can join me in the chatroom.

Culture As A Dare - Graham Dunning takeover
Saturday 29th July, 19:30pm live premiere
